Shows detailed information for a selected radio model.

Fields

Model Number

The model name or number of the radio model as specified by the manufacturer.

Manufacturer

The name of the manufacturer of the radio model.

RF Bandwidth (MHz)

The bandwith of the radio model, in MHz.

Maximum Tx Power (W)

The maximum transmission power of the radio model, in Watts.

Tx Frequency Stability (%)

The percentage variance of the transmission frequency.

Radio Type

Indicates whether the radio model is digital or analog. (If any emissions are digital, the radio type is considered to be digital.)

Type of Modulation (e.g., QAM)

Digital signal modulation type.

Type of Modulation (e.g., FM)

Analog signal modulation type. Enter a value in the appropriate column. A valid entry is up to 20 characters in length.

Number of Modulation Levels

For digital radio models, the number of modulation levels.

Capacity (payload plus overhead, Mb/s)

For digital radio models, the capacity is the bit rate carried over the R.F. channel. The bit rate to be entered is the total of the payload plus overhead bits.

Capacity (payload plus overhead, telephone channels):

For analog radio models, the capacity is the number of voice channels carried over the R.F. channel. The number of voice channels to be entered is the total of the payload plus overhead voice channels.

Rx Threshold Level for BER 10E-3 (dBW)

For digital radio models, the minimum signal level required to achieve a bit error rate (BER) of 1 error bit in every 1000.
